The Society of Tumor Microenvironment, China Anti-Cancer Association（STMC) established in August 2019. With the strong support of leaders and experts, the Youth Committee of tumor microenvironment special committee was officially established in Qingdao on October 26, 2019 in order to promote the development of tumor discipline and cultivate young talents.

The inaugural meeting of the youth committee was presided over by Professor Zeng Musheng, vice chairman of the Special Committee on tumor microenvironment and cancer prevention center of Sun Yat sen University. At the beginning of the conference, Professor Qian Chaonan, chairman of tumor microenvironment special committee of China Anti Cancer Association and Guangzhou Taihe Cancer Hospital, described the significance of establishing the Youth Committee:

1) The health industry will be one of the pillar industries in China in the future. The establishment of the youth committee will help all aspiring young people better integrate into this rapidly developing high-tech industry and boost the development of China's health industry;

2) The platform of the youth committee will provide a high-level exchange and cooperation platform of information, technology and ideas for young scientific research backbones, and help young talents develop in all scientific research directions;

3) Many members of the youth committee are scholars who have recently returned to China, bringing back many new ideas and ideas. Their contributions will benefit cancer patients in China from many aspects and help to improve the early diagnosis rate and cure rate of tumors in China.
